At The Jolly Woodman, some of the vegetables and herbs that we serve in season are as locally produced as can be.
Just outside of our kitchen door, Rob maintains the vegetable garden providing our chef with fresh butternut squash, courgettes, curry plants, garlic,
Pak choy lettuce, rhubarb, runner beans and spinach.
The vegetable garden also has a herbal section providing our chef with fresh basil, bay leaves, coriander, dill, three varieties of mint, two varieties of parsley, rosemary, sage and thyme.
We purchase locally produced vegetables and herbs whenever possible.
All the vegetables and herbs served at The Jolly Woodman are prepared fresh with the exception of frozen chips and peas.
